During its inaugural meeting, the council deliberated on critical issues such as ecosystem restoration, climate change mitigation, and the development of a state climate change policy.
The council also directed its secretary to collaborate with the Milestone Centre for Sustainable Development, Food Security, and Climate Action to prepare necessary documents to access grants and interventions for climate action.
“This development underscores Governor Buni’s dedication to addressing climate change and promoting sustainable development in Yobe State,” the statement added.
