The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has sworn in Mandate Secretaries to pilot the affairs of the Secretariats. The Mandate Secretaries were sworn in by the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, at a ceremony in Abuja.
In his address to the Mandate Secretaries, Wike charged them to work together in synergy to transform Abuja into a world-class city.

He emphasized the need for them to focus on areas such as the development of satellite towns, improved public transportation, quality healthcare delivery, security of lives and property, education, and environmental sanitation.
Wike also stressed the need for the Mandate Secretaries to ensure transparency and accountability in the administration of the FCTA. He said that they must be “advisors, leaders, and implementers” of the FCTA’s policies.
The FCT Minister further tasked the newly sworn-in FCT Transportation Secretary to inject the needed strength and prowess towards bringing in the needed innovation that would lead to the establishment of an integrated and efficient transport network that meets the yearnings of residents.
Wike also said that the FCTA would place significant emphasis on the social sector, with a focus on uplifting the education, agriculture, and health sectors to world-class standards.
The swearing-in of the Mandate Secretaries is a significant milestone in the FCTA’s journey to transform Abuja into a world-class city. The Mandate Secretaries have a critical role to play in this transformation, and Wike has challenged them to rise to the occasion.
