We’re Building Two Housing Estates In Abeokuta – Abiodun

As part of efforts aimed at addressing housing deficit in Ogun State, the state government has commenced the construction of two Housing Estates in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Speaking in Abeokuta after being conferred the honorary member of Abeokuta Club, at an investiture ceremony, the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, said the estates to be located at Hilltop and Ibara areas of the city, would enable people have access to decent and affordable houses.

 

Speaking on his administration’s policies and programmes, Abiodun said infrastructure, education, agriculture, employment generation and youth empowerment as well as digitalisation of the state would be given adequate attention.

 

He said the flag in off of the State Anchor Borrowers’ Programme, where 2,000 beneficiaries had been selected and given Certificates of Acceptance and Leasehood, launch of TechHUB to enable the state reap the benefits of Information Technology, Okowo Dapo, for Small And Medium Enterprises to boost their Businesses are some of the people’s oriented programmes of his administration.

The governor noted that his government was committed to a viable Public Private Partnership in infrastructural development, adding that government was working on the takeover of the Abeokuta- Ifo- Lagos Expressway for total reconstruction to ease the burden of commuters on the road.
