The United Kingdom (UK) is changing its travel requirements for people wishing to enter the country.
Starting November 15, 2023, all visa applicants, including Nigerians, will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before they travel to the UK. This applies to everyone, including children.

The ETA is a travel permit that is electronically linked to your passport. It is valid for multiple journeys over two years or until the passport you applied with expires. You can apply for an ETA online before booking any travel to the UK.
There are a few exceptions to the ETA requirement. You do not need an ETA if you are a British or Irish citizen, or if you already have a valid visa to enter the UK. You also do not need an ETA if you are transiting through the UK for less than 24 hours.
