Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has confirmed the approval of the appointment of Surv. Ayokunnu Adesina as Surveyor-General of Lagos State.
This was disclosed in a letter signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, who noted that due cognizance was taken of the appointee’s impressive performance.
According to Sanwo-Olu, Surv. Adesina will continue to bring his experience to bear on the mandate of the Office of the Surveyor-General.
Surv. Adesina served in an acting capacity from Monday, 5th December 2022, until his appointment confirmation was conveyed in a letter dated 16th August 2023.
Surv. Ayokunnu S. Adesina was born on the 22nd of May, 1965. He hails from Ibarapa East (Eruwa) in Oyo State. He attended Ebenezer African Church Primary School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan between 1971 to 1976 – FSIC. Also, he attended Obaseeku Comprehensive High School, Eruwa between 1977 to 1982.
He proceeded to Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos between 1984 to 1986 where he obtained OND in Land Surveying. He obtained BSC in Surveying Engineering from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos between 1987 to 1991. Surv. Adesina became a registered member of the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) in 2001. He is also a member, the Nigeria Institution of Surveyors (MNIS) He has served the Lagos State Government in various capacities. He was deployed to various zones/offices which include:
