On the heels of the 16th edition of the African International Housing Show (AIHS), leading tile manufacturer in Nigeria, West African Ceramics Ltd, who is the maker of the Royal brand of tiles and marbles, is set to unveil the first ever indigenous virtual tile and marble showroom in Nigeria to all stakeholders in the built environment at the 16th AIHS and the online community.
This was revealed on Wednesday in a statement by the Group Chief Executive Officer, Bhaskar Rao, and was made available to journalists through the Brand Manager, Royal brand of tiles and marbles, Mohammed Baig, during a courtesy call to the coordinator of AIHS event, Festus Adebayo.
The virtual showroom codenamed ‘Royal Experience’, is designed to engage customers on a virtual tour within the digital showroom where they are allowed to explore the various tiles and marbles on the display racks, as well as interact with the virtual technology features that allows them to sample the various tiles and marbles on photos of their spaces such as bedroom, sitting rooms, offices, among others.
According to Rao, the creation of ‘Royal Experience’ was necessitated by the impact of the lockdown in 2020 as occasioned by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“The COVID-19 pandemic era no doubt impacted the global business environment, particularly during the lockdown. Some businesses had to adopt digital tools, e-commerce applications and virtual technologies to continue to connect with their teeming consumers and meet customers’ needs. It is on this premise that we created the virtual showroom to enable our customers to explore turnkey features that take them through a new virtual experience on the world wide web”, said Rao.
He further stressed that as a market leader with over 30 years footprint in the building and construction material industry, the company is committed to serving the needs of the built environment and will not relent in creating ways that can improve its operations.
“We are committed to devising strategies to streamline our processes; and adopt new tools and technologies to serve our market and expand our reach”, he noted.
Alongside the unveiling of the virtual showroom, the company will be showcasing the Royal Light Gauge Steel, a new product and extension of the Royal brand from ceramic tile and marble production to steel frames production.
