In a landmark event, the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), South-west zone, has welcomed 45 new executives to helm various crucial positions across the six states within the zone.
These freshly elected officials are poised to steer the course of their respective state chapters over the next four years.
Dr. Kunle Adeyemi, Vice-President of REDAN’s South-West Zone, disclosed to reporters that the election, conducted on Tuesday, April 18 in Ibadan, was meticulously overseen by the Real Estate Developers Electoral Committee (REDECO), chaired by Engr. Omololu Bolarinwa.
Adeyemi highlighted the spirited participation of REDAN members throughout the zone, resulting in keenly contested elections. Notable among the winners is Mr. Babajide Ogunleye, who emerged as the Secretary of REDAN’s South-west zone.

Further detailing the outcome, Dr. Tony Aspire Kolawole clinched the position of Chairman for REDAN’s Lagos Chapter, with Dr. Chidiebere Etoniru securing the Vice-Chairmanship. In Ogun Chapter, Dr. Adeyemi Adeniyi was elected Chairman, alongside Engr. Eyitayo Oniwide as Vice Chairman.
The roster continues with Dr. Muibi Kehinde Hammed ascending to the role of Chairman in Oyo chapter, with Mr. Oluwaseun Owoseni as Vice Chairman. In Osun Chapter, Dr. Adekunle Ibrahim Isreal emerged as Chairman, accompanied by Mr. David Abayomi Olabiyi as Vice Chairman. Hon. Olayato Aribo was elected Chairman of Ondo Chapter, while Architect Gbadebo Olamerun assumed the role of Secretary.
In Ekiti Chapter, Hon. Tomiwa Fayose was chosen as Chairman.
Dr. Adeyemi underscored the sentiment expressed by REDAN President, Prince Akintoye Adeoye, who hailed the election process as the most exemplary in his over 16 years of executive service within REDAN.
Adeyemi emphasized the need for professionalism and adherence to global standards among the newly elected officials, urging them to prioritize unity and best practices within the association. He stressed that their positions are calls to service and should transcend mere expectations.
He stated, “Your elected positions signify a call to service; nothing of value is free, everything of value must cost something and sacrifices. It is time to work and change the narrative of REDAN and also address the menace of housing deficit in the country.”
Looking ahead, Adeyemi expressed confidence in the capabilities of the newly elected team, highlighting their experience and professionalism.
He also disclosed that a reconciliation team, chaired by Are Emmanuel King Adetola, GMD, Adron Homes, has been constituted by President Adeoye to address grievances within the association, signaling a commitment to unity and progress.
