Located at the heart of the Aso Pada Area in New Karu, Nasarawa State, the project promises 1,962 housing units with modern facilities which will train over 2000 Youths annually in different spheres of technology.
According to the Project Consultant, Modern Urban Shelters Tanko Adamu, the 30 billion Project is in four phases, one of which is a partnership with the Family Home Fund.
Tanko likened the project to the Silicone Valley, saying it was designed to address technological and housing challenges quacking the state and nation at large.
“We are trying to replicate a mini Silicon valley here by trying to get different aspects of the technology into this place. The community. We benefiting. They still benefit the country. We benefit in a large by training them in the tech world”
Tanko added that his team will deliver the project within the given time frame. ” They’ve already given us all we needed.
Speaking to the lead Architect for the project, Sylvester Egweni for Ecklectics Royale Associates Nigeria Limited, reassured Africa Housing News of the durability and sustainability of the structures being constructed.
He said, “Okay, so first, the fifth one that we’re working on is strictly bungalows, the target bungalows and a few terraces, which also bungalows there’s almost includes almost nothing to worry about because first we’re using nine inches cycle blocks and the structural element includes that would warrant for fear in terms of collapse”.
The soon-to-be-completed project houses, thousand, nine hundred and sixty-two units Tech-Ville would comprise six hundred sixty-eight units of one-bedroom flats, five hundred and fifty-eight units of two-bedroom flats, three hundred and seventy-six units of the two-bedroom bungalow as well as three hundred and sixty units of three bedroom bungalows.
Some notable features the Tech village promises include an abattoir, Shopping Complex, Sports facilities, and Several Innovative centers that will deliver in the area of reshaping the state’s ICT.
The Project is a PPP which involves reputable companies namely, Modern Shelter System and Services, FMBN, Family Home Funds, State white homes and ABS and the Government of Nassarawa State.
