The minister for Housing and Urban Development, arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa has stated that under his leadership, historic Housing Reforms will be implemented to change the narrative of the sector.
The minister made this known while speaking during the 20th Mortgage Banking sub-sector Annual Retreat in Abuja. He explained that various plans and strategies were already being put in place to solve the various challenges to affordable housing in Nigeria.
He also stated that he would leverage on his experience in the mortgage Banking sector to initiate actionable solutions to solve the challenges of the mortgage banking sub-sector. While commending MBAN for its strides in the past, the minister said there was more ground to cover to realize the full potentials of the sub-sector.

Speaking on the use of innovation and creativity, He harped on the need to adopt strategic approaches such as rent-to-own Mortgage options and flexible monthly repayment plans.
The minister reiterated the commitment of the Tinubu-led administration to provide affordable Housing for Nigerians. Various stakeholders converged at the annual retreat to review current trends and explore new frontiers for the Mortgage Banking sub-sector.
