First Trust, City Code, and First Generation Mortgage Banks are currently topping the list of 10 mortgage banks that will be participating in the 16th edition of the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) event scheduled to hold from 25-28 July, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
A statement released by the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) Communications Officer, Femi Esan in Abuja on Friday revealed that over 300 exhibitors have confirmed participation with not less than 15,000 participants who have registered via AIHS online platform for the Africa’s largest housing event from different countries in Africa and beyond.
Esan further noted that the 2022 edition of the event, themed “HOUSING FOR ALL – THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENTS IN CREATING AN EFFECTIVE ENABLING ENVIRONMENT,” looks forward to expanding its reach as it sets to welcome participants from over 15 countries, saying “the era of COVID protocols is over.”
According to him, foreign ministers of works and housing, home-based and international speakers of great repute have been invited from different countries with the likes of Morocco, Egypt and Pakistan to reel out success stories of their countries in the area of affordable housing construction, technology, innovations and latest trends in the mortgage industry.
He added that sessions that are targeted towards achieving goals have been mapped out for non-interest finance, property, technology, use of capital market bond and pension fund for housing finance, and vocational skills development.
The non-interest financing session is facilitated by Sterling bank, Lotus Bank, Taj bank and a host of other banking institutions who are new entrants into AIHS.
Also, Stanbic IBTC bank is another new entrant to watch for at the AIHS 2022.
