The recently appointed Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide has stated that his watchwords will be transparency in the built sector and zero tolerance for building collapse.
He announced this on Wednesday as he took office in the face of high expectations from ministry stakeholders.
He arrived at the Ministry alongside Dr. Olajide Babatunde, Special Adviser for e-GIS and Urban Planning, following the swearing-in ceremony presided over by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa, Ikeja.
The Commissioner promised to build on successes and introduce progressive initiatives to further revolutionize the sector while working effectively with all stakeholders.
The Special Adviser, e-GIS and Urban Planning, Dr. Olajide Babatunde, who returned to the post, also called for continued cooperation and teamwork.
