Residents in Lagos State can now pay their Land Use Charge (LUC) through the Lagos On-Line Assistant (LOLA) platform, without physical interaction with government officials, it has been learnt.
The platform can be reached on 0815 433 3883.
Finance Commissioner Rabiu Olowo said yesterday that the online platform was to make the process seamless and convenient for residents.
He said early payment of the LUC within the stipulated period in the Demand Notice would exclude owners of such properties from paying accumulated fines, arising from late payment.
The commissioner said the LOLA platform came into fruition in line with the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration’s THEMES Agenda of making Lagos State a 21st Century Economy, and its initiative on “ease of doing business”, by simplifying the methods of payment of LUC.
“In a nutshell, this initiative will save time, reduce stress, and it is accessible 24 hours in a day. The standard requirement for anyone willing to use the platform is to be accessible on whatsApp. All conversations for the LOLA payment have been made programmed,” Olowo said.
He, however, said interested persons could still make use of the various Walk-In centres for LUC payment located on Victoria Island, Badagry, Ibeju, Alausa, Iju, Mushin, Apapa, Epe, Ikorodu, Ojo and Surulere.
The commissioner implored anyone having any difficulty in making payment for LUC to engage LOLA on 0815 433 3883, visit www.lola.ng or luc. lagosstate.gov.ng.
