The Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has confirmed his participation in the 17th edition of Africa International Housing Show AIHS, which is regarded as the largest housing and construction show in Africa.
The confirmation was announced on Monday in Abuja by the CEO of Africa International Housing Show, Festus Adebayo.
“The Africa International Housing Show AIHS has received a new boost with the confirmation of the executive governor of Kaduna State Uba Sani to be a special guest of honour at the event.”
“He will be the second executive governor that will confirm his presence and one of the many governors with high priorities for mass housing as a tool to boost economy in their domains.
“The event which will feature real estate leaders across the world and will also have the presence of United Kingdom Secretary of State for International Trade Kemi Badenoch as a special guest of honour.”
According to Adebayo, AIHS 2023 will witness not less than 26 international guest speakers, over 400 exhibitors and with participants from not less than 15 countries.
Adebayo added that the 2023 Africa International Housing Show and conferences is unique cause it’s taking place under a new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is interested in Housing and in the creation of credit system which no doubt will boost housing and mortgage sector in the society.
“As you can see, the president is ready through his economic policies to attract investors into the country, to this end AIHS 2023 will be collaborating with Nigeria Bureau of Statistics NBS, Nigeria Mortgage Refinance, Federal Ministry of works and Housing to find a lasting solution to the problem of data, which the former minister of Housing, Bar. Babatunde Fashola complained about through out his tenure.”
“We must find a lasting solution to data, so as to enable us plan and proffer solution to some of the problem affecting the sector, he added.”
“Also the issue of Green Housing and Edge Building is key of AIHS 2023, we have partnership with International Finance Corporation IFC to look into this area. Shelter Afrique is also not left out to support AIHS 2023 with strong presence on how to find a lasting solution to housing financing.”
“Our partners also include, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Family Homes Fund, Lafarge, Dangote, NMRC, Cosgrove, Brains & Hammers, Modern Shelter, and Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria, Royal Ceramics, among others.
“The event will start with addressing data problem affecting the real estate sector which will be anchored by professionals in the housing industry across Africa in collaboration with the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics, he added.
“The Nigerian Meteorological Agency is also not left out this year so as to address the effect of climate change in the sector.”
