In a strategic effort to enhance operational efficiency and ease daily mobility for council staff, the head of Iba Local Council Development Area, Yisa Jubril, handed over four newly acquired vehicles at the council’s headquarters.
The distribution includes one staff shuttle aimed at employees residing in areas like Badagry and Iyana-Ipaja, while the remaining three have been allocated to field officers tasked with revenue-related assignments.

While presenting the vehicles, Jubril cited the move as a fulfillment of requests made during last year’s oversight visit by the Local Government Service Commission. “This is a practical response to your concerns. We want to remove the obstacles that affect punctuality and work output,” he stated, encouraging staff to match the gesture with a renewed commitment to excellence.
He also hinted at additional incentives and support programs to be rolled out soon, part of a broader strategy to improve staff welfare and overall productivity.
Speaking at the brief handover, local NULGE chapter chairman, Saheed Badejo, lauded the initiative and affirmed that the workforce remained dedicated to supporting the council’s development agenda.
