Over 2000 participants are expected to converge at the Landmark event centre in Lagos today for the 6th International Conference On Housing And Exhibition, organised by the Association of Housing Corporation of Nigeria (AHCN), featuring all housing commissioners across the 36 states of the Federation, mortgage institutions, housing agencies, and some private property developers in Nigeria.
According to the Chairman, Planning Committee of the event, Arc. Dhikrullah Har-Yusuph, the 2022 conference, themed “Sustainable Housing Models to Solve Housing Deficit in Africa,” will look at the global housing sector’s challenges and constraints as they relate to mass housing production, as well as develop, implement, and adopt appropriate strategies to reduce homelessness in the country.
He stated further that the spectrum of opportunities and platform that every participant will be provided at the event, is the hallmark of the housing conference.
“The networking opportunities and value this conference brings to your role are two of the most important reasons to attend the event. The event is the best place to meet the most important prospects, build relationships with colleagues and clients, and engage in one-on-one interactions with like-minded businesses or partners with whom you can collaborate and support in the future.
“The Housing Africa conference is not only a fantastic way for sponsors and speakers to boost their reputation, but it is also a great time for you to build your personal or company’s brand with others who could be your next client. It is well understood that taking an active role in any field distinguishes you from competitors and peers while also opening up new opportunities on a personal level that will help you build your reputation.
“It is a programme also designed to provide various organisations with exposure opportunities such as product and service displays, podium presentations, and so on. This sixth edition will provide yet another enticing opportunity for business owners to showcase what they do, thereby increasing their customer base and maximising great profit”, he said.
Sponsored by some big African companies, including Family Homes Funds Ltd, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Niger State Housing Corporation, Nigerite, Africa International Housing Show, Nigerian Building & Road Resource Institute, and Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), the final events are scheduled for Thursday.
“These include Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) 50th anniversary laced with a couple of other expository sessions focusing on Urban Regeneration, Public/Private Partnerships, and Effective Stakeholder Relationship”, he added.
The closing ceremony will be a gala and cultural night, with all participants feted to dinner and a specially styled evening.
