THE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has disclosed that 802 Nigerians will return from Saudi Arabia on Thursday and Friday.
The citizens, who were held at various detention centres over migration issues, would be received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by MFA officials.
The returnees will be quarantined at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp for 14 days in line with the COVID-19 protocols.
A statement on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary, MFA, Mr. Gabriel Aduda, said the returnees would be conveyed via two Saudi Arabian airlines.
The statement titled, ‘FG to receive 802 Nigerian returnees from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’, indicated that the first batch would arrive on January 28 at 11:50hrs, while the second would arrive on January 29 at 10:35hrs.
It stated, “They (returnees) will be quarantined at the FCT Hajj camp for a period of 14 days in line with established COVID-19 protocols. Thereafter, the ministry will facilitate their movement to their respective home destinations.”
