The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is set to reposition Land Administration Department for effective service delivery.
The Director of Land Administration in the Federal Capital Territory, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, stated this while receiving the Ministerial Servicom Team that paid him a working visit in his office as part of the routine visits to the Secretariat, Departments, and Agencies of the FCTA.
The Director reaffirmed the commitment of the Department of Land Administration to collaborate with the Servicom for effective, efficient service delivery in consonance with ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Nwankwoeze said one of the reforms being imbibed by the Department is to ensure that people get the required services within the speed of light, because it is not more business as usual.
The Director reiterated that the Department has also recorded a significant improvement in the processing of Certificates of Occupancy to buttress the change being implemented to showcase the stuff Barrister Nyesom Wike is made of.

According to him, the quality of our services can be measured from the improved issuance of Certificates of Occupancy, reduced bureaucratic bottleneck in registration of all title documents including Power of Attoney and Certified True Copy of the title documents.
He emphasized that the reform being introduced in the Land Administration is to improve citizens satisfaction by promoting and ensuring an excellent service delivery in the system.
His words: “The two Departments Land Administration and the Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS) will continue to support the Servicom Unit to ensure that the residents of the FCT and Nigeria continue to enjoy quality and efficient services.”
Speaking earlier, the Overseeing Director, Servicom Services in the office of the FCT Head of Service, Tam Dokubo, said the visit is part of their routine visit to the Secretariat, Departments and Agencies under the FCT Administration
He added that Servicom was established in 2004 as outcome of a Three-day Special Presidential Retreat on service delivery with the President, Ministers, Special Advisers, Presidential aides, and chief executives of major Extra-ministerial Departments and Parastatals.
Tam recalled that Servicom is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria conceived to promote effective and efficient service delivery in MDAs by ensuring customer satisfaction as well as to manage the performance-expectation gap between Government and citizens and other members of the public, on issues of service delivery.
He maintained that Servicom equally gives the public the right to demand good services as contained in MDAs’ Service Charter, which is one of its objective.
