FAAN Launches Taxi App To Help Passengers Get Around Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Other Locations.
At Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has began testing a tax app loading booth.
If the software introduced at Abuja Airport is successful, it will be expanded to other airports, starting with Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
Rabiu Yadudu, the Managing Director of FAAN, who introduced the app on Thursday, said that the newly deployed technology would enhance the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
The taxi app, according to the MD, is aimed at automating cab operations at the airport, as represented by Group Captain Usman Sadiq, the director of airport security.
He stated that the technology would boost aircraft safety, security, comfort, and development.
“This is a positive development,” Yadudu said. We are inherently afraid of change. When change occurs, we may be proud of it at times. I can assure taxi and commercial drivers that this will result in positive growth.
“It is in line with international standards and would contribute equally to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product.”
