Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has confirmed paying over N402 billion in taxes for 2024, maintaining its top taxpayer status.
Chief Branding and Communication Officer Anthony Chiejina disclosed this during an interactive session with senior media executives in Lagos.
Subsidiaries including Dangote Cement, NASCON, and Dangote Packaging Limited collectively remitted N402.319 billion in taxes last year.
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) earlier recognized Dangote and Bluestar Shipping as Nigeria’s most tax-compliant organizations in 2024.

Speaking at the session, Chiejina reaffirmed Dangote’s commitment to fiscal responsibility, corporate social impact, and economic development.
“As a responsible company, we ensure full tax compliance and prioritize social responsibility to support national development,” he said.
Over four decades, Dangote has expanded from trading to manufacturing, driving self-sufficiency in cement, sugar, and petroleum refining.
Dangote Cement Plc also won three prestigious awards at the FMDQ Gold Awards for leadership in Nigeria’s financial markets.
With this record, Dangote Group remains a pillar of economic growth, industrial development, and financial market leadership in Nigeria.
