1,530 people in Kenya have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 8,010 tested in the last 24 hours.
Twelve deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, all being late reports, pushing the cumulative death tally to 2,147.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health dated March 30, the country’s positivity rate has moved down to 19.1 from 26.6 per cent.
From the positive cases reported, 1,458 are Kenyans while 62 are foreigners, with 842 men and 688 women.
The youngest positive case is a three-month-old baby while the oldest a 99 year old.

The total confirmed cases in Kenya now stand at 132,646, with 1,480,240 cumulative tests conduted so far.
Nairobi still leads with the highest number of infections (686) followed by Nakuru (164), Kiambu (151), Kitui (68) and Nyeri (67).
Some 129 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, 74 from Home Based and Isolation Care and 55 from various health facilities. This pushes the total recoveries to 92,290.
So far, 130,575 people have been vaccinated after the country received 1.12 million doses of Astrazeneca vaccines. To date, 806,000 doses have been distributed.
According to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, 1,308 patients are currently admitted to various healthcare facilities across the country, while 4,760 are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
He adds that 152 patients are admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 46 on ventilator support and 97 on supplemental oxygen. Nine patients are on observation.
The statement from the Health ministry said 89 more patients are separately on supplementary oxygen, with 78 in general wards and 11 in the High Dependency Units.
