A suit by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, will be heard by the Supreme Court on Thursday, May 19.
The parties in the case have since been served hearing notices, according to TheNation.
The National Assembly is listed as the sole defendant in the suit filed on April 29, 2022, marked: SC/CV/504/2022.
The plaintiffs are contending among others, that the said section of the Electoral Act 2022 is in conflict with constitutional provisions.
