The Federal High Court in Abuja granted Dantata & Sawoe Construction and Zutari Consulting a 21-day extension for settlement.
Justice Inyang Ekwo approved the extension on Wednesday after listening to arguments from the legal teams of both parties.
The case involves an alleged $1,257,592.83 debt related to subcontract work on the Dangote Fertilizer Plant project in Lekki.

In September 2024, the court granted a 30-day extension before fixing February 26, 2025, for hearing the petitioner’s motion.
Zutari Consulting had requested a provisional liquidator for Dantata & Sawoe over the unpaid debt following arbitration proceedings.
An arbitration tribunal in London ruled in April 2021 that Dantata & Sawoe was liable for the stated amount.
At Wednesday’s proceedings, Zutari’s counsel requested more time for settlement discussions between both parties to continue.
Dantata’s legal team confirmed ongoing negotiations and did not object to the request for an adjournment of the case.
The judge adjourned the case until March 18, 2025, for either a settlement report or a hearing of the motion.
