Some people consider Hakeem Bamidele Ogunniran as an exceptional being. Others believe it is his foresight that draws ever so slowly towards clairvoyance, that is, the spring beneath him, especially when you consider his intimidating profile.
Indeed, it is an understatement to say that his life exemplifies tenacity of purpose.
Every observer agrees that something about Hakeem Bamidele Ogunniran embodies substance and success.
For years, he sailed courageously through the business world, navigating the obstacles with the grace and foresight of a seasoned captain.
The Real-Estate wizard is unquestionably a champion extraordinaire who has single-handedly reconfigured the country’s Real-Estate sector.
Mr. Ogunniran has changed the narrative of Nigeria’s real estate industry in the last eight years, leading his team to deliver landmark and iconic projects in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, and other cities such as Asaba and Calabar.
He led his company to raise over N55 billion in real estate funding through bonds, bridging loans (Commercial Papers), and a DOT-based Real Estate Investment Trust.
He has also been instrumental in driving the African Real Estate Reform Agenda by leading sessions at Accra, Cape Town, Johannesburg, London and Lagos.
In 1984, he bagged his LL.B (Hons) Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the University of Lagos.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985 after passing the Nigerian Law School’s Bar Examinations with Second Class Honours (Upper Division).
Later, he earned a Masters of Law (LL.M) and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in London and Nigeria, as well as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the United Kingdom.
He has received numerous awards, including the Kwame Nkrumah Award for Corporate Governance Excellence in 2009, the Distinguished Chartered Secretary of the Year in 2010, the Association of Professional Bodies in Nigeria’s Award for Professional Excellence in 2011, and the Global Home Nigeria Property Award’s Property CEO of the Year in 2011, Real Estate Unite Person of the Year, 2013, The Odua Business Ambassador Awards and named one of the top 20 CEOs of the Listed Companies on the Nigerian Stock Exchange for 2013.
