The awards, which had been scheduled to take place on Thursday 9 July, will now be held on Thursday 3 September at the Park Plaza, Westminster, London.
Nominations are still open and the deadline to vote for someone will remain as Friday 1 May.
The judging day will take place at a later time than originally scheduled, with the new date still to be confirmed.
All table and sponsorship bookings will be carried forward to the new date.
Welfare top priority
The decision was taken by the Mortgage Solutions team following government advice to avoid non-essential contact with others and unnecessary travel.
The welfare and safety of all guests, sponsors, suppliers and colleagues is our top priority and with the uncertainty around how this situation will evolve over the coming weeks, we feel that this is the most appropriate course of action in the current climate.
Mortgage Solutions managing director Iain Cartlidge, said: “This is the 15th year of the British Mortgage Awards and in each year, every finalist has shown a willingness to raise the bar and excel in their own role, they embrace change and innovate, or adapt and seize the opportunity that our market inevitably creates.
“Despite the unprecedented situation our society currently faces, we think it appropriate that those people who have driven the market forward in the last 12 months should have their deserving moment in the spotlight, which is why we were determined to reschedule this important event.
“We are very much looking forward to bringing the industry together and welcoming you all to the event on 3 September.”
