Following the successful completion of the 16th Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), the Coordinator of the event, Festus Adebayo has extended his gratitude to all professional bodies who graced the event, for their partnership and support.
He conveyed his thank you message in a statement released on Thursday.
While assuring them of continuous partnership, he also urged the professional bodies to sustain the collaboration established at the event to bring about meaningful development in the nation’s housing sector.
According to him, AIHS has put in a lot of effort in cementing and sustaining healthy relationships among key players in the built and construction industry, saying “such effort must be appreciated.”
He added that the cooperation between the AIHS and the professional bodies has been so encouraging over the years, calling for sustainability of all collaboration measures put in place.
The statement reads in part: “Let me use this privilege to specially appreciate the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institute Of Architects (NIA), Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON), Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Building Collapse Prevention Guild (BCPG), Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), and others for their support and partnership in the recently concluded AIHS.
“Indeed, there is a great future for the housing construction industry if collaboration like this can be sustained among the stakeholders.
“This is a new dawn in the housing industry and it is hoped that all professionals in the industry will work together to ensure that there is more development in the sector…”
He called on all professional bodies in the sector to think more on how they can work together in solving the housing gap in the country.
“It’s when you are not collaborating that people who are not supposed to be doing your jobs will be taking advantage of you. This is a special appeal from us. As for us at AIHS, we will continue to promote the development of the sector and the empowerment of all professionals shall be our priority”, he assured.
He further revealed that all resolutions reached at the event will be processed and sent to appropriate quarters for necessary considerations and implementation.
