Arada, a real estate developer based in Sharjah, has awarded a construction contract for The Boulevard, an upscale residential complex within its $6.5 billion Aljada mega development.
Valued at $49 million, the construction contract has been secured by Dubai-based Al Ashram Contracting, which has experience building residential, commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
Arada says work on The Boulevard will begin immediately, and homes in the project will be handed over by the end of 2022. Located on the edge of the East Village district of Aljada,
The Boulevard comprises three apartment blocks, featuring several amenities and is surrounded by green landscaping.
The nine-storey blocks are located next to Aljada’s main avenue, a tree-lined street featuring shops, restaurants, and cafes.
Commenting on yet another contract award within Aljada, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, said:
“This milestone is evidence of our determination to move forward rapidly with our construction plans at one of the UAE’s fastest-growing communities.”
The Boulevard comprises 600 units in total split between one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with a wide range of sizes and floorplans. All apartments are equipped with smart home technology.
In March, Arada launched sales for the second branded residences building of the Vida Residences Aljada, which is being developed in partnership with Emaar Hospitality.
Earlier in February, the developer awarded a contract to build Nest, UAE’s integrated student housing complex, based within Aljada.
The $99.9 million contract was won by Sharjah-based contractor Intermass Engineering and Contracting Company.
