The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, has pledged a renewed support for the new President of the Real Estate Developers Association and the Members of the Executive Council of the Association recently appointed.
They made the pledge at the Investiture ceremony of the 4th REDAN President and the Induction of the newly elected Members of the Executive Council on Wednesday in Abuja.
The Minister of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, represented by the Managing director of FMBN, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa felicitated with the REDAN on the auspicious occasion celebrating the emergence of Dr. Aliyu Wammako as the 4th President of REDAN.
In his goodwill message and keynote speech, he said that the emergence of Wammako gladdened his heart as it was an acknowledgment of his dedication and hard work.
He stated that Wammako’s years of service to REDAN in various capacities, and his dedication and commitment to the association earned him the unanimous approval for the appointment as the 4th president of the association.
Fashola said he had no doubt that Wammako would continue to strengthen the foundation laid by the outgoing president to achieve the vision of the founding fathers of the association.
He commended the outgoing president, Rev. Ugochukwu Chime, a fellow of the Nigerian institute of estate surveyors and his executives for their efforts and their sense of purpose for making REDAN what it is today.
Fashola called Chime a man of integrity and outstanding professionalism, and that while he was at the helm of affairs, REDAN was able to achieve stronger relations with stakeholders through his collaborative efforts.
He stated that the establishing of the Chime led executive staged way for the incoming president and his team should consolidate on it in order to achieve the goals of the association, and that REDAN deserved their unwavering support.
He also commended the association for its contribution towards housing delivery across the country, stating that it had been achieved through the continuous unity of the association in the efforts towards ensuring that its members had the required qualifications and experience to handle estate development.
Fashola called for the sustenance of the current partnership to continue to deepen the level of houses provided and home ownership among Nigerians for wealth creation and economic prosperity, and that it was the template to which they must commit themselves to the service of humanity.
Dangiwa speaking on behalf of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), assured every one of the commitment of FMBN to support the incoming president and the Members of the Executive Council of REDAN in any endeavour aimed at elevating the challenges faced by Nigerians in their quest to become home owners.
