Anambra State Governor, Professor Um-Chinomso Soludo, has announced to the public what measures will be used to construct a shelter for the victims of human trafficking in the state.
The governor vowed that the project underscores the dignity of human beings, and he would strive to realize it later.
The Hon. Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Prof. Sylvia Ifemeje, has stepped in to represent the exec. Governor at the 26th National Stakeholder Consultative Forum on Human Trafficking which held in Abuja.
It came to light that the Task Force at present is going on with six cases in the Federal High Court, Its own Awka, Anambra state.
Feimeje has further instructed DPPs and DC Rights Directors to make sure that cases of gender-based violence and political intolerance take the front burner of their office. One of the TASATF’s main achievements under her leadership was the continuous coordination of a wide range of activities aimed at the policy goals.

Finally, he flagged out the aspect of the implementation of a legal framework the law of Anambra State Against Human trafficking, 2024, stating the purpose of it in curbing the menace of human trafficking. Elder Gov also emphasized the innovative approach of the Soludo administration whereby the government through free education from primary school to junior secondary school meets the need of preventing children’s exposure to trafficking in the state.
