The Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, has said the challenges in the housing sector in the state require deep thinking and hard work.
Akinderu-Fatai disclosed this, according to a statement on Monday, during an event organised for staff members by the Ministry of Housing in Alausa, Ikeja.
He said, “All that was attained last year was as a result of a team effort but there is a need for the housing team to rejig their efforts and be more steadfast than before because the current challenges in the housing sector require deeper thinking and hard work.
“I thank all staff members for being supportive throughout last year in ensuring that the vision of the state becomes a reality in the housing sector through the completion of various housing estate projects embarked upon by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.”
In his address, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Kamar Olowoshago, assured the staff members of an improvement in their welfare.
“The state government is intentional about improving the lots of its workers and will leave no stone unturned in promoting their wellbeing,” he said.
