National Population Commission (NPC) opened a call centre before 2023 census.
Alhaji Nasir Kwarra, commission chairman, said NPC has scaled up preparations for the country’s first digital census.
“The opening of this integrated call centre for the 2023 census is another big milestone,” he stated.
It also shows our dedication to delivering national planning data.
He called the census a “people-oriented activity that captures the demographic features of the country’s inhabitants.”
The chairman underlined the necessity of establishing a channel for continual contact between the commission and the public to receive information, clarify it, and gain feedback on the census process.
He said the call centre is equipped with video conferencing, email, and telephone for effective census communication.
Kwarra said, “This call centre will function as an information hub before, during, and after the census.”
“Trained staff will answer the public’s inquiries on the census procedure, on-field activities, and other FAQs.
